Lescott : would you have him back?

I'd have him back on a free in a heartbeat. We might score from a corner too.

Would be shocked if Martinez went for him though, he's said recently he wont sign players to stunt young players development, and he wont want more competition for Tyias Browning who by all accounts looks likely to step up next season.

Him going worked out best for all parties in the end. He went to City and got all these medals he's so proud of.

We got Sylvain "The Milkman" Distin to replace him.

I'm quite happy with how it turned out. To answer the question, no I wouldn't have him back. Purely for football reasons now, his wages would be too high plus we've got better options. Alcaraz had a few bad games towards the end of the season but he's still more use than Lescott is now he's lost his legs.
Distin not fit to lace Lescott's boots. Not even close

What rock have you been living under? Distin is easily better than lescott, easily.

Lescott and jagielka were the best cb partnership I have seen at everton..... He could also play left back and wasn't just good at defending either . He was up and down the wing all day and chipped in with more goals in one season than distan ( and maybe jags) have scored in their entire carears. I would take him back in a heart beat...

He isn't that player anymore for one. And for two... Have u seen lescott trying to play the ball out from the back??

I think I'm quite safe in assuming bobby will not be looking at lescott whatsoever.

So you think that jags and distan are comfortable on the ball? I rate him.... Our defense, even tho are stats looked good, was shaky this season.... I always felt as of we were going to concede at corners and free kicks.... And never felt that we would score from ours. We NEED a 20m striker.... To afford this we need to sign some free transfers in other areas of the squad ... I would take him as he icks all the boxes IMO

Any of you considering taking him back need to think back to his little strop he threw when trying to get his dream move and the way he didn't turn up at Arsenal was a disgrace

I don't think anyone has watched him since 2009 judging by a few comments. He was immense, especially at left back, but that's like 5 years ago and he wasn't a spring chicken when we had him. Swerve please, I'd like to remember the good times.

LOL.

Jagielka made Lescott look far better than he actually was, as he covered for him and was always there to cover in behind when he made an error.

Distin is a far better all-round defender and is much quicker. Lescott was at his best attacking an aerial ball, but was often caught square and got done when he was up against decent forwards.

He'll go to Villa this summer imo.
