Lescott : would you have him back?

No.

We need to find a Left centre half to build an understanding with Stones over the next decade.
Lescott had his chance here and his best days are behind him. He is being kept out of the Man City side by Demichelis!

We don't really know the truth behind the scenes here. You just have to look at the BS surrounding Gary Speed's departure. Moyes can be very brutal. Joleon was VERY good for us and we made a mad profit.

As was said earlier in this thread - if Roberto wants him, then he should be given a true Goodison welcome. He has to WANT to come back, and if he does, that tells you something of the circumstances of his leaving.

At the end of the day ALL players are 'greedy barstewards'. :)

No way, reasons why his pace has gone and he is absolutely awful on the ball a requirement all Cbs need playing for Martinez. Let's not forget how he held us to ransom back in August 09 aswell, his performance against Arsenal that day is/was unforgivable.

Lescott only avoids B***by levels of hatred due to the fact City are not our local rivals (they are Mancs though!)

I for one wouldn't have him in the house, let alone on our hallowed pitch in the royal blue jersey. He's not the player he once was.

If Jags hadn't been there to carry his sorry can all through 2008/09 we'd have finished midtable with no FA Cup Final, and I've certainly never rated him since he went to City.

Him going worked out best for all parties in the end. He went to City and got all these medals he's so proud of.

We got Sylvain "The Milkman" Distin to replace him.

I'm quite happy with how it turned out. To answer the question, no I wouldn't have him back. Purely for football reasons now, his wages would be too high plus we've got better options. Alcaraz had a few bad games towards the end of the season but he's still more use than Lescott is now he's lost his legs.

I'd rather spoon feed myself on the entrails of a rancid dead dog via it's rear passage than have him back at our club.

Not for me. Better defenders out there who's wages would be a whole let less, let him go to QPR or some money bags somewhere.

Thought you needed 10 appearances to qualify for a prem winners medal?

How did Lescott get one with 8 apperances and even more so Rodwell with 1?
