Don't want that bellend anywhere near this club again. That summer and especially the Arsenal performance was an utter disgrace.

Totally understand where you're coming from mate. What happened was poor, to say the least, but everyone makes mistakes and his head was goosed with the money being talked about.

Overrated CB (though is a bench player overrated?), underrated LB. Neither are a priority so he would probably be surplus goods (assuming Jags, Stones, and Baines stay here next season). That being said we might be so inept at defending and attacking free kicks when he's in.

No. Not with his wages. I wouldn't want Stones progression slowed by being pushed further down the queue. I think Distin still has a year or 2 in him and I think we have better ways of adding 70k plus to our wage bill

One thing I always ask myself when there's a clamour to "bring back" someone; if the player hadn't been previously involved with Everton, would we seriously consider signing him? He's a defender who's past his best and would expect that we match his huge wages. I'm sure there's better options to be had.

He was first choice for a side that won the title two years ago, of course we would.
