Lescott : would you have him back?

No, I'm staggered that you think Pienaar was worth 75k a week.

And I'm staggered by how you are affording Pienaar all the excuses in the world when he ended up jibbing off Everton just to sit on the bench at Spurs, whilst continuing to hold a grudge against Lescott for jibbing Everton off in favour of joining the most expensively assembled squad that the world has ever seen, and winning trophies that he would never have won without moving.

Yeah, because he obviously knew he would be on the bench when he signed for Spurs. Obviously.

And nobody is arguing that Pienaar is worth 75k, but if Arteta was then he certainly deserved to be close to that. Everton never even offered him close to it.

FFS!

The poeple that hate Lescott arnt blaming him for moving. We're blaming him for his ****ty attitude. See my above post.

And then everyone koff. You're all missing the point.

The point I'm making is that Pienaar's and Lescott's attitudes were as bad as each others, as they both wanted to jib Everton off because they felt they could achieve better elsewhere.

How people are excusing Pienaars refusal to play in the Derby, but continue to hold a grudge about Lescotts performance against Arsenal is beyond me.

What a load of s**t.

It was a while abo but as i recall I think he was asking for £65k but would have taken £60k but the club wouldn't budge from around £50k then suddenly offered Arteta £75k and he wasn't happy & surely that's understandable ?

Well he obviously thought he was a lot better than what he was then, otherwise he obviously wouldn't have been sitting on the bench.

How much did Everton offer him then?

Pienaar refused to play whilst under contract, Lescott put in a bad performance whilst under contract, and they both moved because they could get better elsewhere. But apparently Pienaar's behaviour is undertandable, but Lescott's behaviour is unforgivable. Well I'm afraid I don't see a lot of difference between the two.
