Lescott : would you have him back?

He threw the match.

That's all anyone needs to know.

Bit dramatic that mate don't you think ? Seems odd that moyes didn't sub him in that 90mins Despite having Duffy & rodwell (who is never a centre half I know) on the bench as however unsuitable they were surely they'd be better than a bloke 'throwing the game' . Also surprised the manager would release quotes like he has done if that was the case.

If Moyes would have him back, then thats good enough for me. Those who wouldnt want Lescott or Rooney back are deluded and bitter. We welcomed Pienaar back with open arms after he refused to play in a derby and let his contract run down. Football is business and I for one would be made up to have 3 of Englands back 4 in the royal blue of Everton.

Pienaar has got off very lightly in my opinion.

I remember the fans clapping Lescott in pre season and that arsenal game, wanting him to stay.

But no, he put his transfer request in, didnt want to play at the start of the season, upset the team leading to a 6.1 embarrassment.

Then he left and said it was the best move hes done in his career.

But yeah, open arms and that.

So because a few people clapped him he should have stayed?

Next time you're offered the chance to work a job with much better prospects for 2-3 times the wages I hope your current colleagues don't start clapping for you. Especially not a cool-runnings slow clap. You'll be screwed then.

Not read this entire thread mate but that is probably the most bollox i have read on here and i have read a lot. I respect your opinion on not wanting him here but saying he threw the match is pathetic and makes you look a bit foolish imo. Would Moyes really want him back if he threw the match?

To be fair mate Moyes continues to stick with Anichebe despite the fact that it's well known he's an absolute c**t off the field, and a bit of a bulb on it.

Having thought about this if he came back and made some sort of reference to that Arsenal game or perhaps apologised then I'd be open to it.

His partnership with Jagielka was excellent and the recent England game when they played together showed they still have that understanding between them. We need a good CB badly.

Pienaar honoured his contract.

But refused a new one because he demanded more money than the club were willing to pay.

Pienaar turned us down just to warm Spurs bench and earn a little bit more money, Lescott was headhunted by the richest club in the world in order to play a part in winning trophies, trophies that he would never have won if hadn't have left.

Moyes was more pissed off than anyone about the Lescott transfer, but it seems even he is willing to entertain the prospect of a return for Lescott.
