Everton defender Joleon Lescott has emerged as a shock target for O'Neill, who has £10m to spend and is also considering a move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

O Neil's got 10mill to spend? WOW! Well, give us all that, plus an extra 5mill and Ashley Young and we've got a deal.

Seriously, Lescott's turned into the new Arteta ie he's rumoured to be leaving the club for about 5 different clubs.

He wouldnt be going to FA Cup finals with Villa put it that way hahaha RUUUUUUUUUUUUUN RUN WHERE EVER YOU WILL BE....!!!!!!!!!!

Lescott, given age, performances and na international has to be worth £20 mill at least.

£10 mill, what a joke Oneill, go play with your self, W******.

His worth?

Signed a 5 year contract last season.
Minus a rocky start to this season, he's been one of the best centre halves/defenders for 2 seasons.
Valuable 1st team player.
Main player for a team with one of best defensive records in the league 2 seasons in a row.
England international
FA Cup finalist
Around 15 goals for a defender in 2 seasons.
Future England International centre half?
Years younger than Terry, Ferdinand, Woodgate etc

Starting price at £18million going up.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhhaaaaaaaaa

that's bollocks paper talk if ever i heard it. completely random figure.

He's got a hard-on for champions league footy and his contract is up at the end of the season I think.

It'd be funny if the RS go for him again. What a waste of money that will be. If they dont want him he might just grovel back to Villa and ask for another contract.

The RS will go in for him again in my opinion. Benitez seems to fancy him, and he should be available at around the £8m mark now.

I'd take him here, but like you say, he's got a hard-on for CL football.

And Arteta's better.

Bit off topic but unless Barry likes being a bench warmer - which will affect his international chances - where's he going to play if they've still got Alonso and Mascherano with Gerrard infront of them? Everyone knows thats probably their best line up in the midfield.

I hope they do buy him them because it'll be another waste of the Waiters doe and will ruin Barry's career like it almost did Robbie Keane's haha
