Lescott dropped

Any evertonians that start with the elephant man sh1t waive any right to incredulity next time the RS sing songs about one of our players' disabled children.

Don't like the precedent this sets. The value of Moyes' word has taken something of a battering. Hopefully Lescott's now untenable position doesn't erode what would have been a handsomely inflated transfer fee.

It surprises me that Moyes and Lescott have burned their bridges .
One thing you always need to take into consideration as a football player is that sometimes managers move to other clubs , and that club , might just be a club you are playing for in the future , be it a Premiership club or even England .

Why this whole saga couldn't have been exhausted amicably disappoints me .

The main factors that have made this episode painful seem to be the way City have dealt with the situation , which has led to Lescott having his head turned , and Moyes unwilling to oblige .

It also strikes me that there may well be another twist in events before this debacle is laid to rest ; I just don't know what it will be , bit I can sense it .

However, Moyes remains insistent that he does not want to sell the player to City, who have already had bids of £15m and £18m rejected.

"I hope this will all be sorted out, after the (transfer) deadline," added the Everton boss.

This was tagged onto the end of the BBC story, interesting.

sorted out how exactly? it'll be too bloody late then.
Only DM knows what he means by that phrase!

Is Moyes really still hanging on to him?

I don't like that he's hung Joleon out to dry like this. Surely he can't play for Moyes again now? But maybe Davey knows that and just wanted to get a dig in.

I'd have preferred us just to have not commented though. Now we're just adding to all the rubbish.

*sigh*

I've defended Lescott quite strongly over the past few weeks but this latest episode has completely soured my opinion of him. Gareth Barry was able to comport himself with a lot more professionalism. Lescott has let himself, the club & the fans down.

I hope Moyes gets as much as possible for him, as soon as possible.

i personally dont think he will go. He'll score the winner in the fa cup final vs city at the end of the season 1 nil.

I know, it wont be long before the press turn on us in this saga.

Don't lower ourselves to his level

he'll look like the idiot then though, we have launched him into an international defender, he can't have a bad word to say about this club. Modern day prima donna footballers

*sigh*
