Yes it is official .

Moyes has stated that his attitude has been very poor over the last few days , and both he and his team mates are very disappointed .

Apparantly there has been a small amount of communication between City and Moyes but nothing more .

Moyes Drops Lescott for Sigma – News Archive – News – evertonfc.com – The Official Website of Everton Football Club

David Moyes has revealed he has dropped Joleon Lescott from his squad for Thursday night's Europa League clash with Sigma Olomouc.

The manager has revealed he will not include Lescott in his plans for the first leg play-off tie because he has been disappointed by Lescott's attitude following the defeat to Arsenal.

Lescott did not train with the first team on Wednesday as the manager prepared his side to face the Czech outfit.

He told the pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon: "I'm not including Joleon Lescott in the squad. His attitude in the past few days has been poor and for that reason I won't include him.

"I've always thought he was a good lad. But I think he has not only let himself down but his teammates too."

Lescott's omission from the squad means that Joseph Yobo is the only fit and available senior central defender in the squad.

However, both Phil Neville and Jack Rodwell occupied central defensive positions in pre-season games against Coventry, Blackpool and Malaga.

Both those players are in the squad for Thursday night's match, which kicks-off at Goodison at 8pm.

Oh well, he'd better sell him then. The Moyes oil tanker turning 180 degrees.

Neville at centre back then, atleast Rodwell will be in midfield.

This is very disappointing, I don't blame him for wanting to leave but I did expect some professionalism on his part.

By acting like this he's put his teammates and manager in a tough situation, potentially going into a big game with one centre back available.

He's close to going then. He's putting too much pressure on Moyes to get what he wants that he's disrupting the whole club doing it. Off you pop Lescott dont want you round here with your sulkin attitude. C'ya.

******* hell, I'm cringeing here for Moyes. Sell him by all means, but dont hang him out to dry to get yourself out of the corner you painted yourself into. Un-fcuking-believable. Amatuer night stuff from the Moyesiah.

Exactly, don't think anyone can actually blame him, for wanting to at least double his wages. But the timing and his behaviour during this time, has been nothing short of a disgrace.
