Lescott dropped

sorry davek still failing to see where moyes states it was lescott's fault for the 6-1 drubbing, i actually think moyes blames himself not lescott

it doesn't really need conclusively proving though does it? there's enough of an inference there to go and anyone who was at the game saw his presence plain and simple.

we need to bite the bullet, sell him and move on.

jury is still out on whether or not davey is in denial or playing a canny one.

Well at first he appeared to blame himself, but yesterday there was a definate shift towards humping some of the blame towards "The whole Lescott saga".

I doubt I could find the words that made me draw this conclusion, but it was the conclusion that I came to as well.

i agree, but this whole things stinks of ' as soon as lescott leaves all will be well in the happy squad of everton fc'.

i think most papers and fans will blame him for the unrest and subsequent poor start to the season.

i was confident he would not go to city, but now i'd be surprised if he was still here in september.

city can just end all this now with a 30 million bid. it's not as if they are borrowing on future season ticket sales to fund it.

Exactly. £30mil to them is like them pulling out a £20 note. I was also confident of him staying (at least a while longer) but this thing has just got worse and worse the longer it's gone on.

We need a resolution.

Moyes refers to "Saturday's performance against Arsenal" - do you think he meant that he thought Lescott's performance was really good?

Well Moyes said:

All I have done [dropping Lescott] is make a decision for this game that may or may not be the right decision but Saturday's performance against Arsenal made me realise that I had to do something. I couldn't let it drift."

Moyes clearly implies Lescott was in some way responsible for the defeat.

Really don't think this stink up would have gotten this far if Jags was still healthy. I just have that uneasy feeling Lescott & Yobo don't have any chemistry together for some reason.

TBh Yobo has always been the weaker of the CBs and last season when Jags was out, the partnership with Lescott did not really gel.

Moyes has not said Lescott was to blame, the reference to his poor attitude is more than what is on the pitch but quite likely towards his team mates in training.

In the times today Moyes was quite clear. Rated Lescott as a player and wanted 30 mill for him from City or who ever. If City are not prepared to meet our valuation then Lescott needs to untwist his head and start putting in great performances and thinking of the world cup.

I agree I think he was mouthing off at Yobo on at least on one of those misshaps last week. Moyes is big disciplinarion so the results were a sulking Lescott left to his own demons alone.

The association between Lescott's presence and Saturday's performance there for all to see.

Which is funny because, post-match, he said "I'll take responsibility, I need to do better with the players I have".

He's contradicting himself at every turn and losing respect because of it.

I love you, I do, but you have a strange perception on things.

Stop watching X Files man x

What do you mean? Do you think he's going to bad mouth him to the press or write a book?

Probably, it's a fued and Moyes is well within his rights to stand his ground, contracts are signed for a reason.
