Not exactly his fault that probably the best left back, set piece specialist and penalty taker in the premier league over a number of years stayed loyal to Everton and didn’t kick up a fuss when we turned down the opportunity for him to follow Moyes to United where he would’ve ended up winning medals because he’d have been their best left back and since then they’ve won FA, League and Europa Cups (I think on the league cup)

He was hopeless after Moyes left. He deserved to have the LB berth taken away. Then he sulked and fed the media disruptive stories about Everton.

Don’t be ridiculous, over the last 10 years he has arguably been one of our better players. Plus when RM was binned we were 13th and he deserved to go regardless of any player opinion.
