Capello isn't stupid. The fact that Baines started for me says a lot. He'll play, do well, and be sold when he returns to Barca for £90 mill.

-is always the nicest bloke on the pitch, is by no means arrogant and has 3 kids with the same woman. He's an easy person to root for. So I think anyone would agree with me that severely lacks proper off the field credentials to be on the England MNT.


We paid £6m for him, if a bid came in now, what would you regard as acceptable? - Not that I'm advocating a sale, your answer will indicate progress.

Getting 6M for him would be the con of the century. After all Kyle Naughton (albeit a RB) went for the same price and Baines isn't close to having the class on the pitch that Naughton has.

I wouldn't even consider selling him. Not only is he one of the better left back's in the League but he's also one of us, a local lad who knows what playing for the club is all about.

As for him not showing the class that Kyle Naughton has, are you being serious? The lad's a talented player but he's got a lot to prove before he's even considered close to Leighton Baines' level.

Baines is quick, hardworking, intelligent and good on the ball. He's not far off being a complete fullback.
