Leighton Baines

Just so you know, i'm not moaning. I love Bainesy and can't praise him enough, but under RM he's no longer our one shining star, the team now shine together, it used to be the bale syndrome, give it to Baines on the wing and let him do the rest, now the whole team works together and i honestly don't worry as much if he goes, my only worry is the price we get for him

If we didn't have Baines we'd be 3 points worse off. West Ham.

We will be a better team over the next fews with baines in our team. Therefore keep him, don't strengthen the teams were trying to compete with.

Ok so under Martinez he may not be the shinning star with everything done through him, well that's a good thing IMO. Shows we have other strengths.

On the flip side there were 5 other teams doing better than us last season without baines in there team. If he goes, he goes, we will move on and there certainly can be life without Leighton! Hopefully he decides he wants to finish his career here and were good enough to get a CL spot and/or trophy which he'll fully deserve.

if we didn't have osman against villa, naismith against chelsea etc etc

I'm not saying anything bad about Baines, just saying this season the workload hasn't been thrown on him, he's no longer the one we constantly look to for inspiration, it's a good thing

The media are soooooooooooooooo desperate for this deal to happen you can smell the desperation dripping off the journo's keyboard from here.

No quotes, complete conjecture, absolutely no different to any of the million stories in the Mirror throughout the past summer.

This is just utter bollocks. The idea of us selling him to them mid-season for the same price we rejected doing so in the summer is just bizarre.

Going by his form from the past few seasons he's easily our best/most consistent player, but this year has been distinctly average West Ham cameo aside. New tactics have a lot to do with him being more reserved imo, interesting to see what happens with our full backs between now and Christmas.

Who'd of thought moyes would have had our FB's attacking more than Roberto!

There definately more reserved. Maybe it's just getting the hang of how and when Roberto wants them attacking?

If he was to leave would Roberto consider John Stones as a direct replacement and any money he has to use could be invested elsewhere in the squad e.g striker

I'm glad he had a fairly ropey game for the Crusaders last night, it makes the below par performances for us feel less like he's just marking time before getting off.

Anything below 20 million and we've been had IMO.

Close to 50 mill for Baines and Fellaini seems right to me.

To both id tell the cautionary tale of Joleen Lescott.

He's won a league title an F.A cup and played in the C.L

Not bad if you ask me

I hope kenwright shows a set of bollocks for once and refuses to even answer the phone from that ******** moyes, or gets his ma onto him.
