Leicester v Everton Thread

Why not stick Stones in RB. He's done a job there before. No where near as mobile as Coleman, but must be better than Hibbert, if only in terms of passing the ball.
I don't disagree mate, but I get the feeling that RM has a preference for the experienced, no frills Hibbo

Did RM play Hibbert in the league last season? (Genuine question). I've been hoping he's been playing Hibbert in the pre-season to evaluate him in a risk-free environment and has come to the conclusion he doesn't work with his system. I think Hibbert has been a great servant for the club, etc etc, but I don't think he should be starting for us.

Found this on the leicester forum, thought I might leave it here.

Hope it's a good, fair game and goes to the blues! Everton, that is.

After reading your optimism I don't doubt any of it and fully expect a solid Leicester performance, I think they'll take the game to Everton anyway. If Everton are at their best its only gonna go one way I'm afraid. On our day we are superb and better than anyone in this league. We have to be at our best and Martinez gets that into the players heads and will demand nothing less. We never write anybody off or underestimate an opposition, Martinez is a gentleman and is very respectful towards opposition.

I noticed a post here from Tubey who is from the Everton forum, which I'm banned from. I wrote some things which wasn't very clever and I started to get infractions for my general behaviour. I've learnt many lessons from my mistakes and put them all behind me. I would like to go back on there and be a forum supporter, I would even pay the owner £100 just to reinstate my account. Everton is my life and it would be good to be able to talk about them with other fans on a daily basis.

I think once you've been banned its impossible to come back from that. I would genuinely love another chance. I wouldn't risk it again and I would be constructive in what I say. I told them all stories which all were true but a lot of people thought I was on a wind up. I wouldn't tell lies but I understand now that my stories wasn't relevant to that particular forum. If I was allowed back I would solely keep my talk about Everton an various other off topic conversations but I vow I will never cross the line. I have a lot of respect for my other blues and I hope they can find it in their hearts to allow me back on. We are Everton, we are a family.

If anyone feels like pleading my case to the site owner I would be very appreciative

I think Hibbert was injured for large chunks of last season.
And I hope you are right re Hibbo not starting, as I just believe the pace of the game will be too much for him. But much-like a lot of us cannot fathom Osman always starting, I just get a feeling that RM has a similar soft spot for hibbert

Playing against a confident home dog at the start of the season is never an easy result. If Everton come together and play well I expect they can win against every PL team. If they don't play well, I expect any PL team could steal a win. Can't wait for the season to start, I think we'll see Everton play well. COYB.

.....I think this will be a very difficult encounter. Worst time to play a newly promoted team is early in the season, away first game is as bad as it gets. Just hoping everything falls right, if we are ready our quality should come through.

Watch out for the guy banging the massive drum, they normally can be very loud but it does tend to take something in the game to make them sing, we have a bunch in the corner of our stand behind the goal furthest away from the away fans who sing non stop but you rarely hear them due to terrible accustics

Can you please ask them to be quiet so we can concentrate on the game mate?

Thanks guys

That's a thread all of its own right there.

Funny enough for some reason when people are banned off their own forums they always come onto ours?

We've got Charlton, Forest, Sheffield Weds, Derby, Everton, etc
