Leicester v Everton Thread

My worry about this game is that we'll struggle to score goals. We didn't have the 3rd meanest defence in the league last year by accident, and we didn't lose any of those defenders. I guess you could say that Distin and Barry are both a year older, but Barry never relied on his pace anyway, and Distin seems to be some sort of ageless wonder.

If either one of Hibbert or Alcaraz plays, then I expect us to lose. Hopefully It won't happen, or if it does, then hopefully I am wrong. But they are both utterly awful, barely League One standard.

if players are unfit / not ready i'd go with

--------Howard---------

Stones--Jags--Distin--Baines

Osman--McCarthy-Barry-Pienaar

---------Barkley-----------

---------Naismith-------------

I like Leicester, have family there and was hoping to go and watch this one. Not feeling very confident about this game though, I think we will find it tough going getting into our stride. I can see us losing at Leicester (2-1) but getting results against Arsenal and Chelski.

You may win but I highly doubt it will be untroubled. We're not that sort of team

If you beat us, or we win and it is hard work I will quite happily take any abuse/banter/told you so's.

Doubtless Man City websites were full of similar statements before their opening game at Cardiff last season...

Yeah but Man City didn't play poorly in the pre season on purpose to lull them into false hope like we have... Its all about tactics!

You'd play Osman on the wing over McGeady? I'm not a huge fan of the latter but that's madness.

gonna be a close game with the it being a promoted side at home the fans could be the 12 man on the pitch, although what Leicester fans don't realise is the gulf in quality between the top 7 teams and the rest of the league, the amount of points earned at the top end last season was immense and whilst you lads have done well in the championship don't underestimate the big step up especially against those said top 7 sides.

I think it will be a usual everton performance against a "lesser" side, we'll dominate possession but wont take our chances, if Lukaku, Coleman and Mirallas play some part and possibly atsu If the deals done in time Im gonna say 2-1 everton if none of them get a chance on the pitch im gonna say a frustrating 2-2
I've seen in a few places that their new stadium isn't much of an atmosphere generator. I remember watching their home game in the playoffs a couple years ago, was about the same as say Cardiff/Swansea level. True, it's a top flight game, but you never know.

As for the game, I'll happily take a 2-1. Any three points will do though, especially if Coleman isn't fit, and Lukaku/Mirallas can only play as subs.

@FOXINPEACE You seem like a decent chap. Who do you think will start at the back for you? Morgan and Moore? What are their strengths and weaknesses? And what do you think they will make of this?
