He's acting like it's already happened and comparing Newcastle/Leeds to a potential "another Man City" it's absolutely warped thinking and I just want to know why he thinks that is going to happen despite both teams not even being taken over yet.
Just cross that bridge when it comes to it.
It is warped mate, 100%. So is the desperate need for there to be something negative to moan about, even if there isn't anything. See their behaviour in the Championship playoff final thread, where we had people wetting the bed about Villa overtaking us in years to come because they're "the biggest club in the midlands" (as if that means anything).
Truly bizarre behaviour from adults functioning in the real world, you can feel it translating into the ground on match days now as well, which has put me off going. I don't want to be surrounded by the stench of doom and impending apocalypse.
I've concluded that Twitter is to blame for all of this.
