Simply put another Man City in this league would make it a top 7 thus taking up all european places - how boring would the league be if we had very very little chance of even qualifying for the Europa League?

There are 2 types of fans - 1 who solely concentrates on their own club and 1 who keeps an eye out on what moves other clubs are making.

Im the latter as I love my club and want to see us playing in Europe/winning a trophy and any further financially doped clubs entering the competition only hurts us. Basically its like being a small shop owner and having a ASDA park itself down the road - yes you concentrate on your own business but you'll be a fool for not being concerned with the competition as it inevitably effects you at some stage or another.

People forget we were a top 6 club pre Man City and had they never got the money we would be likely qualifying for Europe every season - even this season we would have got Europe if City were still nobodies.

Leeds/Newcastle whoever getting investment on the scale of Man City/PSG who can dodge FFP to a larger extent than other clubs would have a big effect on Everton Football Club regardless of the timescale make no mistake about it mate.
You're just assuming things will go like this in your warped mind, Why don't you wait for it to happen before having another meltdown like Newcastle. Rich owners do not mean guaranteed success.

Lad its called having an opinion on a discussion forum.

im giving my viewpoint - If you dont agree sound but stop trying to constantly censor people for daring to give an opinion.

I think it would be bad news for EFC you don't - coolio.

He’s just expressing his opinion, why are you trying to shout him down just because he doesn’t agree with you?

You do have to agree though that there is huge potential in Leeds with its inbuilt geographical and economic advantages. It is (like Newcastle) they'll be like an oasis in a desert of premier league clubs with only Manchester anywhere near, and that's over the Pennines and a different county, and the area is prospering with good transport connections. You can see why a potential overseas investor could target them as having less baggage and huge potential for expansion.

So they do have attractions for the right investor but any growth will take time, not least of course because of the ridiculous straight jacket FFP puts on clubs to prevent them spending their own money. - especially significant in getting out of the Championship.

Leeds United's problem was a succession of really bad owners. Riddesdale, Bates and then the nutty Italian Cellino. The current owner is sensible and has his head screwed on but is not mega rich. He is wealthy, but much of his wealth is tied up in his businesses. Leeds have an excellent development set up and are bringing some good talent through. Like Everton, they sold their striker and didn't replace him. Struggling for goals. A 'big spend' for Leeds is about £7m and you don't get Premiership quality for that. The ground has a capacity of 39m and needs upgrading for Premiership football. Their crowds last season were mainly 30m+ with less attractive games at 28/29m. Top crowd was 36m. The current owner does not appear to want to sell Leeds but he needs investment. Its how he gets that investment and stays within FFP rules.

Well for one he accuses me of having a warped mind for having an opinion he is responding against - therefore he isn't sharing his opinion he's attacking someone for thinking differently to himself.

Not like I would expect someone like yourself to understand the difference.

Not trying to censor people at all I'm curious as to why you think it's a guaranteed cert that Leeds will become some sort of Man City 2.0 because they've got some dough and Everton fans should be wary of a team who are still in the Championship.
You assume the worst in every situation instead and it's bizarre.

No he’s not, he’s just laughing at your opinion. Why are you trying to deny him his right to laugh?

You are not allowed to challenge him mate. You’re not allowed to challenge anyone apparently. You have to just let them post, read it and then ignore it. That’s what healthy forum debate is, you need to be careful not to upset people’s feelings.

He's acting like it's already happened and comparing Newcastle/Leeds to a potential "another Man City" it's absolutely warped thinking and I just want to know why he thinks that is going to happen despite both teams not even being taken over yet.
Just cross that bridge when it comes to it.

It is warped mate, 100%. So is the desperate need for there to be something negative to moan about, even if there isn't anything. See their behaviour in the Championship playoff final thread, where we had people wetting the bed about Villa overtaking us in years to come because they're "the biggest club in the midlands" (as if that means anything).

Truly bizarre behaviour from adults functioning in the real world, you can feel it translating into the ground on match days now as well, which has put me off going. I don't want to be surrounded by the stench of doom and impending apocalypse.

I've concluded that Twitter is to blame for all of this.

Im not acting like anything. I posted that it looks a goer and responded respectfully to a decent poster asking why it would effect us as a football club then you waded in as per throwing insults around whilst not actually discussing my points raised.

For children or man babies like Mikeh thats considered normal debate when in reality it isnt its the online equivalent of throwing a milkshake at someone because they dont know how to properly engage with another viewpoint and know only to react in a "cant agree with them destroy them" way.

Even now I fully expect a response to this being "LOL" or something primitive as thats the mental capacity of some folk on here.

PSG are a joke mate, No serious manager wants the job because a) it's the French league, b) If you don't get to the semi final of the CL you will get sacked. The whole thing with Neymar is just crazy, it's clear that the players run the show at PSG, and judging by this summer most of their major names want too leave. I would say they do mess around.
