If I was a dodgy billionaire they would probably be the two clubs along with Villa that I’d consider pumping money into, big city clubs with big fanbases. If (and it’s a big if) this is a sign of what’s to come the league could become crazy competitive in the coming years, you’ll always have bumblesquat clubs like Burnley but it would be quite cool if there were 10 or so big clubs who could realistically go for top 4.

It would be a disaster for us.

City took us out the top 6

Newcastle/ leeds whoever would take us out the top 7.

We would literally exist to aim for PL survival every season. Would may aswell jack it in and take up rugby or something.

They were looking at Leeds, Villa and Forest . Obviously we’ve been taken over by very wealthy owners, so it was never going to be us. I see the appeal of Leeds. The third biggest city in England and the biggest county in England being Yorkshire. My grandad used to say Leeds had the potential to be the biggest club in England at one point. Their home crowds have never shown it, but they are imo top 5 fanbases in England above Villa and Everton. Infact I see far more Leeds fans in the midlands than Everton, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, City etc. They have a huge floating fanbase.

Them deserts must be rough if you think Leeds or Newcastle is a good place to stick your ill earned dinar in.

Yeah there is a load of positives about Leeds. The road out of the place being the main one.Any road will do.So long as you are leaving Leeds, that's the main thing.lol

To be fair, the Leeds people can have a laugh at themselves. There is a famous saying in Leeds based on the fact that the Black Prince statue in City Square is pointing at the train station. 'He's showing you the quickest way out'.

Is that how this works? You make a statement, someone asks you if you’ve anything to back that up with and you ask them to come up with the counter argument to prove you wrong, without giving any reasoning to your statement at all. I like your style.

The Toon are in the same category, delusions of grandeur !!
