Also, the sides lining up to try to take Everton to the cleaners, if they are successful - will the compo claimed affect our P&S standing in whatever season and see us back with another deduction?

If city and Chelsea are docked points are city going to get taken to court by the sh### and be ordered to hand over all your silver are Chelsea going to be sued cos they finished 4th got champions league money at the expense someone who were 5th, clubs going to sue referees for points dropped and tv money lost due to bad var calls they can’t get right on the clearest of cctv. I think this is something we should be worried about but not to quite the extent discussed by some. We could’ve only taken the spot of one relegated team so it’s one of Leicester or Burnley not both if we are talking about a significant claim about relegation.

I think there will be a great reluctance to rewrite history because that’s an enormous and almost impossible thing to start to apply to the likes of the City case. I think a possible solution to compensate the complainant clubs would be to a make us pay them the difference in prize money one extra place would’ve made. To go further and get into hypotheticals about who could’ve been relegated when is a hell of a can of worms.

don't see how they can sue us without suing city/chelsea though?

just opens a massive can of worms.

most importantly though, the seaons we allegedly "cheated" was the 3 years prior to the 21/22 season, so covid season etc, so we cheated in seasons that had no affect on anyone going down but we was comfortably mid table anyway, i don't see what logic they could sue us for charges that didnt relate to the season they went down.

should be worrying about themselves
