Leeds, Leicester and the other small clubs.

Sorry, misread! Original post was saying the punishment is severe, but I do not think it is especially so (nobody wants to see their club penalised, especially by an unaccountable ringmaster) but it will at most have a 1-5 position difference and is unlikely to lead to relegation, so not likely to cause much inconvenience. Was just saying that if they wanted to be truly punitive it would have been enough to send you clear at the bottom.
But suspect it’s all part of a setup for the other investigations I assume.

It's worth noting that this was simply a procedural decision made in May, not based on any examination of the facts. It simply states that other clubs couldn't be a party to the proceedings but could make any potential claims arising from the case afterwards. It's not saying whether they do or don't have a good case, simply when the appropriate time for them to raise it is.

It would be stupid if Leeds sue Everton,as any clever lawyer could sue Victor Orta and Radrizzani for incompetence. I think the 49ers will walk away from this, and try and start with a clean slate. Only if you give 50 million for Harrison.

Can’t wait to get taken to court by Saints Sausages because they sell less sausage butties on a match day because there’s a few thousand less going the game. Come on.

Exactly, it has to stop somewhere and that is with the penalty points we've been given 🤞

Is there money difference between 19th-18th thats all they could claim for
There is, it's £2 to £2 half million, but each of those clubs got parachute payments when they dropped down, so how are they going to claim they lost out when the premier had made sure they didnt.
If the sue us and win can the premier sue them for the money back?
They can't have double payments for the loss of going down.

I mentioned this yesterday, they got their compo payments, I don't see how they can claim anymore on top. Few clubs in the Championship might not be happy and the EFL like a much more even keeled fairer setup down there. Also just talking about it on Jim White at the moment and Simon Jordan thinks this is a lot of tabloid noise that won't come to anything.

If these clubs plan to sue us, would they have to prove to a court that we gained an advantage over them on the pitch by overspending?
I`m not sure how they would as the more money we spent the worse we got, which dragged us into a relegation battle, giving them a better chance to avoid the drop.

Lots of stuff will come into it including team form and the likes of Leeds had 3 managers in one season and were going down anyway due to some shocking form all season. Likewise Leicester fans seem split over attacking us and the rest who had become bored of Brenda and his methods and his refusal to change and think they deserved to go down.
