I feel like people try too hard to reinvent the wheel with it. Then also struggle to know which character to make the focal point.
Outside of the original, I can’t think of a decent Frankenstein film.
From the trailer on this one, can't even see how the monster will look, but it's that Elordi fella, so probs make him a handsome monster.

You don’t have to be a wrestling nonce to appreciate how good Dwayne Johnson is in this.
I knew nothing about early UFC or Mark Kerr, who the story is about, but this is just a great film.

Space Hamlet, with numerous slices of star wars and the matrix, a scene from Apocalypse now, and a nod to Blade runner.
No idea what is going on with the editing. Reckon she got this off the back of the mission impossible stuff, the other language stuff is annoying and reminds me of some of the riddick films. And they fell over themselves to praise it as revolutionary did they.

I want to say that Snake Plissken is your typical, quintessential, chessy 80's action hero...
But... Cheesy in a good way!
That's the problem with Guillermo del Toro... Some of his stuff is really good.
But in recent times, he has been prone to a few hits and misses.
So, watch it at your own discretion, mate.

It's similar to that movie 'Baby Driver', but with more humour.

This reminds me... I also watched this the other day:
The movie itself was decent, nothing special, but I was surprised at how much muscle and girth Bautista has lost. He's probably off the juice now, lol.
I was even MORE surprised by how much he's grown as a competent actor.
It's time for a Dave Bautista/Dwayne Johnson duo action movie! I think these two would gel well together.
Dave Bautista best roles are when he’s given serious parts - Blade Runner 2049 for instance.
I’m not sure that doing a “ bro “ film with the likes of Johnson would be good for his career at the mo.
Or Johnson either.

Good grief 'Dune' was slow, like a space opera without the music. It all looked very pretty and the wide shots do a lot of lifting (I'm sure stunning at the cinema), but it was snail paced. And the technical close ups of the machinery added nothing but value for budget spent. Annoying.

Because my mind wandered yesterday evening, I found myself looking at Mad Max Fury road, and even though it was released in 2015 it still hasn't had a UK terrestrial premiere. Action, world building (supplementing?) characters that were not bland, yeah there was a reason.
