Last Film You Watched

I thought it was okay. Just left me oddly feeling kind of.... whats the point? On one hand its a Big Budgie tentpole 300 million dollar stiffy of a juggernaught, and on the other feels like they have missed the Cinematic universe boat and are so far behind they've stopped caring about developing it properly. The bad guy was fairly ridiculous. Cyborg and Flash were entertaining. Superman annoying. Batman the weak link on the team thanks to Affleck. Wonder Woman wears the pants.

Would probably watch again though.
The villain was ridiculous? Oh come on mate, 99.9% of comic villains are ridiculous, including The villain in Ragnerock that everyone raved about.

I don't get how you can say what's the point because wouldn't that also apply to any super-hero film were the team of good guys have to band together to save the day?

I thought Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg were all brilliant as was Wonder Woman again and Batman was fine. Superman? I don't see what annoyed you tbh as I thought he was fine. Wonder Woman has pretty much always worn the pants in Justice League comics for the better part of twenty years now so that was only an accurate reflection on the comics.

The thing with the "developing the universe" line that always gets thrown out at DC. It's already developed for a lot of characters, everyone knows Batman and Superman. Do people really want us to sit through origin films for them all yet again?! To me some of the criticism that gets aimed at DC films is double standards as most of the same problems are on display in 99% of Marvel films which get raved reviews regardless of quality.

Seriously, everyone?

It's not even a case of roles not suiting her, I mean she's not linda hamilton, who made a huge effort to get ripped for the role of sarah connor, clarke is wooden in everything, the only time I forgot it was when she was in the tub with that chick off hollyoaks
If we're really nitpicking, Nathalie Emmanuel is just as wooden as Emilia Clarke. But let's be honest, there's been hundreds of actresses/actors over the years who have made careers out of their looks rather than their acting abilities.

She comes across well on chat shows too. Natural and funny, not uhoa like a lot of them. She's no Meryl Streep but I like her.:)

she seems like a female keanu reeves to me, who is also apparently a real nice and intelligent guy, but unfortunately both appear to be made entirely of wood when in front of a camera

I know what you mean mate, but sometimes you just want to sit down and look at something pleasant to the eye.

Kathy Burke (IMO) gave one of the best ever female film performances in Nil by Mouth, but it's so disturbing I don't think I've actually watched it since.

By contrast, Annabelle Wallis, who was absolutely stunning as Grace in the first Peaky Blinders, is so wooden and false in real life and can't act (or sing) either.

I'm with you on Wallis's performance, strange as casting is the something that show has never had an issue with, huge amount of talent whatever anyone thinks of the writing, hadn't heard about the real life stuff though

I think any potential series would benefit from keeping superman dead from the batman v superman film

Just a couple of chat shows I've seen her on mate. I think one was with Tom Cruise and she was all over him, cooing and fluttering like a doe-eyed schoolie. She was so affected and uhoa it was unreal. The missus bought the new Mummy DVD a couple of weeks ago and I can't bring myself to watch it yet.
