Looks like they've foregone all of the bold, original film-making that set the original apart and just gone for a by-the-numbers blockbuster. Christ, I can already smell the almighty dump Leto took after he chewed all the scenery
I'm reserving judgement until I've seen it.
I wasn't expecting it to be a classic like the original, but the very least I'm expecting is a very good film.
The trailer has really not got my hopes up at all, but there have been some very good reviews out there, although I've not read them myself. Pete Bradshaw gave it 5 stars. I 'hope' that the trailer has been cut to sell it to an action audience but the film has a lot more to it. If the reviews had been tepid I'd have swerved it altogether.
