Last Film You Watched

The Raid, ridiculously dubbed but with probably the best action scenes of any film I've ever seen. Think i read it was made in Indonesia, would rather have read subs throughout! 8/10. The second one is on my list next.

Pretty sure the director is Welsh. Excellent film excellent sequel

Best martial arts film since the original Ong Bak imo. Subtitles are always better than dubbing, except for comedy purposes. Gareth Evans is the director (was gonna put Williams, but luckily checked imdb first!). I've got both, but haven't watched 2 yet :| :|

it killed jerry heller ...literally

talking of IT

anyone seen that yet? anygood?

Yeah it is, even as someone who doesn't like (modern?) horror films. Good combination of characters who are more interesting/likeable than most horror films, and some good scares.

It Comes At Night. 90 minutes thankfully. Boring. Nothing that hasn't been done before. Terrible ending.

Re-watched Kingsman: The Secret Service again in preparation to go and see The Golden Circle at some point within the next week or so.

Absolutely brilliant film, hope the sequel is just as good.

I did this exact same thing on Sunday in prep for the new one.

It really is great. For a movie i expected absolutely nothing from it's so good. So much fun, taking the very best bits from loads of different spy type movies and bringing them together well.

Looking forward to the new one. At the very least Channing wotsit is a right dish.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed it too.

Like and old skool James Bond crossed with Matrix style special effects.

Really good fun.

Watched this on Film4 last night, so it'll be on again.

Very good film, very well acted, thoughtful and disturbing.

Ethan Hawke plays an ex Figher pilot turned Drone bomber pilot for the US airforce, who's dept are taken over by the CIA.

His role changes from bombing legitimate targets to anything that the CIA don't like the look of in Afghanistan ( inc women, kids and funeral cortège ).

Hawke is superb in his role, as his guilt and anger over what he is doing, slowly consume him.

Did you really find it 'disturbing'?

From the perspective of his slide into a nervous breakdown, due him fighting with his conscious, over having to bomb innocent women and children - yes.

Plus the fact that the CIA were ordering bombs dropped on innocents, for no other reason than they " didn't like the look of someone or something.

* I thought Lennie Kravitz daughter, Zoe, played a very good part in it too, as his opo and temptress at the same time.

He was in the military though....under orders.

If he didn't want to do it then he should have filed a complaint.
