It's considerably less hammy than that version - and only covers the first half of the miniseries (The Losers Club as children) - but that was very much the strongest part of the miniseries so it's really just a shinier updated version of it.
Saw IT last night. Thought it was alright, Skarsgaard was excellent. It was shot well but was guilty of the same shortcomings of a lot of modern horror films. It was just sequential jump scares in place of well-built tension and eventually suffered from the law of diminishing returns. I just wasn't too bothered with it by the end. A shame, because the opening scene had a lot of impact.
Cheers, won't bother then![]()
It's okay like. I could see how some people enjoyed it, but I have a very particular idea of horror. Don't not go on my account!

Well I watched Ghost in the Shell lastnight and was pleasantly surprised after hearing it bombed on release.
A cross between The Matrix/Bladerunner and a bit of the recent Judge Dredd movie.
I liked it, solid 7/10 from me.
