Marty Supreme
Very good film, can see why Chalomet is being nominated for best actor for that film, not sure it is winner worthy but the way he captures the characters narcissism is really good
It’s very funny at times, would love to see Chalomet in just a purely comedy film
The biggest praise tha I can give to Chalomet is that he reminds me of a young Leo.
Not wanting to ruin the feel good vibe but the author who coogan plays , I believe , was and I believe stlll is under investigation for some pretty disturbing allegations and I believe allegedly one of the reasons he left uk teaching to move their .Watched The Penguin Lessons (Steve Coogan & Jonathan Pryce) last night. I think it’s on Netflix and Prime etc in the UK.
Her indoors chose it, so I was expecting the usual 90 minutes of romcom drivel. It was an easy watch, funny, with an unlikely plot. Based on an English teacher (Coogan) rescuing a penguin and taking it back to live with him at an Argentinian public school.
Set during the Argentinian dictatorship of the 70s, it engages with associated events and is apparently, largely based on a true story.
Recommended light viewing, for those who may otherwise have to suffer a dreaded romcom.
