Calm With Horses. ( Film4 but on Netflix )

Very good if you like gritty, raw British dramas.

Set in rural Ireland, an ex boxer, turned enforcer for a Pikey drug gang, juggles his life of violence and trying to do the right thing by his ex and young autistic son.

Some really good performances, particularly the relatively unknown Cosmo Jarvis in the lead. For all its brutality, it’s quite a tender film in parts, with a very powerful ending.

Watches like a Shane Meadows.

Finally watched this. Very good.

Flat, predictable and you work out who it is within ten mins.

All of it pretty much made sense unless you want to think too deeply into it...bit like inception.

Thought it was 'ok'...just the noise/pacing was really bad and the one dimensional characters.

Went for an old classic It's A Wonderful Life last night. Great feel-good film, despite being from 1946 either it doesn't feel too dated which is impressive.

Last thing I did yesterday was watch this again. It's aged beautifully and I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for making me think of it!

The background noise was annoying.

I was quite annoyed by it in the cinema (that's always cranked up to 11), subtitles would have helped in parts. lol

Attack Force Z (1981)

Australian-Taiwanese war movie with Mel Gibson and my man Sam Neill among others. Better than I expected it to be, even though the subtitles on Prime were horribly out of sync. Quite enjoyed it. 7/10

Just watched tenet, concept was intriguing, the visuals were top notch and the action was well excuted but the plot was so muddled and headache inducing. Got the gist of it but deeper examination leaves so many questions
