Tenet

Eh?!

Just out of the cinema about 30 minutes ago.

Only a couple of small eh moments.

Really enjoyed it as a straight up action film and the time reverse stuff wasn't as much of a head bender as I feared it would be.

My only complaint (and this maybe the sound at the cinema) was the background was too high, a lot of the dialogue was a bit of a strain.

A solid 8.

You must be significantly more intelligent than me - I found it to be completely overwhelming to the point where it become more of a lesson in physics than a pleasurable viewing experience

I was entertained throughout - but my god none of it made any sense

Anyone who says they understand Tenet is a flat out liar. Or Christopher Nolan.

It's not that tricky. You watch a scene, and at the time it doesn't make sense. But generally within 5 to 20 min something happens and it clicks into place. You, the viewer do your own little time journey.

The only thing that isn't clear is who was Neil.

Well apparently Neil both gets shot and somehow survives because in the future he's recruited by the Protag in the past to help the Protag in the not-so-past stop Andrei.

Or nothing like that happens.

Not convinced.

But that wasn't the question. Who was he? Just some random selection or was he connected in some other way?

I don't think that's really important just that he was an agent that future Protag trusted with the info to get what was needed done, done.
Yeah, maybe just some random.

But he did mention that he understood all the theory because he was a physisist. Coincidence? He was also very concerned about the recovery of the wife after getting shot.

Maybe I'm looking for something that just isn't there.

Still 8/10.

He understands it all because he's been told the whole plan by future Protag.
