I had no idea green book was in little carmines sub-speciesGreen Book;
I have been meaning to watch it for a while but only saw it yesterday. A couple of notable performances in what is essentially a very enjoyable buddy movie (think the odd couple on the road).
I personally thought there would be more static between the two lead characters but as such their bond is formed relatively quickly, and the main antagonist is actually the societal conditions of pre-civil rights america and the associated Jim Crow laws.
Viggo Mortensen steals it for me and an interesting titbit is his character is the guy who played Carmine in The Sopranos. Well worth a couple of hours of your spare time.
Fantastic that stamp got this great role his talent deserves. A brilliantly shot and understated gemThe Limey;
Terence Stamp cuts up rough in LA when his character finds out his beautiful daughter has met her untimely end. Stamp's brooding presence is a dark shadow in stark contrast to the light and space of sunlit California as he bounces round Big Sur handing out traditional cockney slaps and dropping people off balconies. The movie can be a bit jarring with some of the flashbacks but it is a necessary function of Stamp's mental processing of piecing all the info together.
It is the movie that Liam Neeson's Taken wishes it was. Give it a "butcher's".
Don’t think I could watch it twice. One of the saddest films I’ve seen. Similar to Requiem for a Dream, great film but never want to see it againParasite is just as mental second time round.

Fair. I wouldn’t watch a good film on a bad streamFirst time I watched was a dodgy stream so it needed the big screen appreciation.
Interesting fact Glengary Glen Ross was originally a play. Made in 1984.Cell - Stephen King adaptation. Pretty poorly rated, but read the book years ago so was interested to see it. John Cusack is an estranged father trying to reconnect with his wife and son, when everyone using a mobile phone receives a sound/signal/pulse from their phone turning them into crazies/zombies. He and a few others un-affected by it try to reach a rumoured safe-haven, whilst he tries to find his family enroute. Not as bad as it is rated imo, if a little generic, although it does end a little abruptly and easily.
Glengary Glen Ross - Been wanting to watch this for a while. All about the talking/dialogue, with only a few sets/locations. Head Office send Alec Baldwin to put a boot up the arse of a NY sales team who aren't hitting targets. Everyone yells at each other and tries to close the rubbish leads they are given to save their jobs. Great cast (Baldwin, Spacey, Lemon, Pacino, Ed Harris), good film, but overated I think. Nothing really happens, which is not necessarily a bad thing - there are plenty great films where not much happens - but there isn't enough else here to fill that void imo. Possibly better as a play, as it originally was.
