Last Film You Watched

Blue valentine is his best performance for me. He’s at his best when he’s plays that kinda of goofy, existential straight guy.

Very good in first man as well which i watched the other day.

His comedic timing is superb. There’s a scene in La La Land where he’s outside Emma Stones house beeping the horn on his car and it’s charlie Chaplin/Laurel and Hardy esque.

Great in anything he’s in. If it’s got gosling it’s always worth a look.

The Pianist

Somehow never seen this before - and now somehow wish I'd never seen it

Has none of the emotional heft of a Schindler's List - and parts of it were downright slapstick (Adrian Brody hanging from a rooftop as the Nazis shoot at him)

Interesting fact Glengary Glen Ross was originally a play. Made in 1984.

Hence lack of locations and a lot of talking.

I agree some love it I think its just OK.
Yeah, would love to see it as a play, think it would be much better suited and more effective that way. Kind of reminds me of An Inspecter Calls, which I just saw for the first time last year.
The Other Guys.

Haven't watched it in a while. So funny.
Love it. Some really standout scenes and Wahlberg plays a great straightman
Love the start, when the Rock and Shaft jump off the roof!! :O :D :D
Other Guys always reminds me of Nice Guys which is another belting movie.
I mean, they do both have Guys in the title... :p :p

A sympathetic portrayal of attempts to publicise the actions of the US and UK governments as they prepared for the 2003 war in Iraq. A sort of All The President's Men set in Cheltenham. Available on Amazon Prime ...

Ava: Jessica Chastain + Colin Farrell + John Malcovich = absolutely terrible. There was no real backstory and the whole thing was rushed. Hard to root for anyone...just weak everything.

Rogue = Megan Fox + Philip Winchester = not even a b-movie quality flick. Fox obviously not suited to the role but i thought there may be a good script to entice her. Sadly whoever wrote this has the imagination of a worm.

I had to turn Ava off, it showed early promise, suddenly went full John Wick before veering off into some kind of daytime soap on Channel 5.

Very odd given the quality of the core line up.

You must have seen the first 15mins then...you made a wise decision.

Gringo - on Netflix.

Great cast, black comedy and mindless fun that could’ve been better.

A bent Pharma company supplies a Mexican cartel with synthetic cannabis and wants to cut them off - murder and mayhem ensues.

Save it for a Saturday night.

Watched Power on Netflix. Decent, but I feel like they missed a trick here. Should have been a mini series. It had potential to be very good, it it all felt a little rushed as a 2 hour film.
