Last Film You Watched

Watched a great film last night, The Train with Burt Lancaster, war film but more a film set in the war rather then soldiers fighting. It was about the Germans trying to get valuable paintings out of Paris in the final days before the allies got there and the resistance trying to keep the paintings in France. 60s black and white film, it was great, anyone who is interested in steam trains will also love it, highly recommended
Tried to watch it, but it started late....

Ultra gore meets ultra meh.

Could be comic book nasty brutal Home Alone fun if it were capable of building any kind of tension but the 2D baddies make the Wet Bandits look like masterminds as they aimlessly drift into set-pieces. A B-Movie video nasty style film needs to either shock or be funny and innovative with it's violence but there's nothing here really.

Ultimately more pointless than the films own MacGuffin.

Looks like a bit of a change of pace for Kevin James

Watched this last night, loved the atmosphere and 50s setting...just didn’t quite grab me and the old woman’s story affected the pacing a bit I felt
Yeah I know what you mean, it has that common affliction in films, great idea, doesn't know quite how to end it. Overall though I enjoyed it, like you I thought the setting was great, and not in a 'Back To The Future', 'hey its the 50's!' kind of way, felt very contemporary.

The dialogue between the main 2 characters was great

This was a great crime making it,decent enough idea, there is no chemistry what so ever between the main characters, you end up not caring what happens in the film
