Last Film You Watched

I think Nightcrawler is a cracking film, 7.5/8 out of 10 all day long for me.
Yikes D, some mental calls there. Loved Nightcrawler and A Quiet Place, though I imagine the latter is far more effective in the cinema

hiya prevster!

Nightcrawler was predictable from the very off, so either you liked the atmosphere/performance...or in my case not.

Quiet Place cast were too stupid, even for horror films, to make me willingly suspend disbelief in the story. monsters were ripoffs, too. and then the ill-fitting dramatic music...

but as jimmy says it's all personal prefs, innit. my favourite horror is maybe disliked by those who enjoy Quiet Place: the found footage subgenre which is oft-maligned.

Got round to watching Bacurau, a few hours before it vanished from Mubi last night. Have to say that, after hearing so many good things about it, it didn't do very much for me. Takes a long time to get going, then fizzles out just as it's picking up. Had a few good moments, but I suspect it may be best enjoyed with an audience at a late-night festival screening, or similar.

Didn’t like nightcrawler at all. More to do with personal preference than anything else. Can see why some people really like it.

I enjoyed it. I'd skipped past it on Netflix loads of times but gave it a go finally and it was decent. The Town is very good on Netflix too. Another film I skipped past loads.

Smashin this, fascinating story using the labours of the inventors to tell the tale of their creation, subtle compelling performances across the board,, innovative and surprising camera work and direction, excellent soundtrack and world building Ridley Scott would be proud of. Pure, crafted cinema.

Superb.
Yes.
I know some ppl may find it boring but I like these type of historical films
