Last Film You Watched

Out of pure laziness went to Netflix last night and vowed I would watch the first film in the Action and Adventure section.
Firewall with Harrison Ford. I'm sure in 2006 it was all very high tec with regards computers and all that, but it hasn't aged well, and in truth massively boring.
Don't go near it.

Death of Stalin- Very, very funny but thought it kind of lost the plot in the resolution of the film. Still very enjoyable though.

I enjoyed the resolution. Of course it plays around with the timeline and all but Simon Russell Beale is tremendous all the way through, especially the emotional turnaround in those final scenes as Beria realises what's happening.

Never seen that one but I do remember that throughout the 90's and early 2000's Hollywood seemed to love nothing more than trying to make someone using a computer to breach a firewall seem cinematic. I can't say they ever succeeded as far as I know.

If I’ve ever seen a film that was a 10/10 it’s taxi driver.

Today I’ve watched bourne supremacy and the death of Stalin.

Bourne supremacy- Brilliant, had to pause it and realised there was only 20 minutes left when it felt like I had only just put it on. It’s so sharp and tense in everything it does. Deffo a thinking mans James Bond.

Favorite film of all time. It's also the subtle bits that I always find hard to articulate; obviously the distinctive score, but also i.e. the grey palettes that help you really feel the grey winter-time Berlin / Moscow settings. There definitely a fine art to giving a movie that extra depth, but when you combine it with everything you mentioned plus the dialed back "action", it's into 10/10 territory for me.

I thought 'The International' did a lot of this well too, but doesn't get much love on IMDB.

Yep

Yep, definitely the best of the original 3. (though I sometimes view supremacy and ultimatum as 2 parts of the same film. Identity works fine as a standalone film)
