Last Film You Watched

Watched Once upon A time in Hollywood yesterday for the first time since the cinema. Still feel the same way. Good, but not among QTs best. Pitt is the star of the show. 7/10

Generally that is always true. The only exception I can think of is 'The Green Mile' where the film is as good as the book. Can anyone think of any other films where the film is as good (Shawshank Redemption but wasn't that a novella?).

The Shining.
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest.
Papillon,
Deliverance.
Marathon Man.
Let the right One in. ( Original film )
Midnight Express.

Mean Streets

Another one of those that I'd never previously got round to watching. The way it shows violence and anger flaring up and then dying down while resentment, shame and bruised pride still simmers beneath the facade of the characters socially acceptable norms and vagaries of honour is brilliant - the pool hall fight especially.

Incredible film but it shows how bloated some of Scorsese's later work has become.

I said to me bird (she went upstairs on the laptop after 10 mins of watching it, not giving it a chance) it's honestly one of the only films that I've ever watched that's very nearly made me cry.
I thought he was gonna end up writing a book and becoming semi famous for that. He seemed like a very nice bright kid so it was very sad and unexpected.

The campervan he died in is still there today and has become a macabre tourist attraction for hikers
