Watched Once upon A time in Hollywood yesterday for the first time since the cinema. Still feel the same way. Good, but not among QTs best. Pitt is the star of the show. 7/10
Generally that is always true. The only exception I can think of is 'The Green Mile' where the film is as good as the book. Can anyone think of any other films where the film is as good (Shawshank Redemption but wasn't that a novella?).
I said to me bird (she went upstairs on the laptop after 10 mins of watching it, not giving it a chance) it's honestly one of the only films that I've ever watched that's very nearly made me cry.I thought he was gonna end up writing a book and becoming semi famous for that. He seemed like a very nice bright kid so it was very sad and unexpected.
Papillon is my favourite film....can't believe they had brass neck to try and re make it a few years back. The Shining.
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest.
Papillon,
Deliverance.
Marathon Man.
Let the right One in. ( Original film )
Midnight Express.

There is a bit of a Stephen King theme running here. I haven't read any of the books on that list (except The Shining) but you have listed a set of brilliant films. The Shining.

Coz it differed so much from the bookI don`t know why, it`s very good and Jack Nicholson was perfect in the lead.
