No but im told its much better, i didnt like that part with all the what ever they were things attacking the people haha

The book is much much better, as you’re in their heads, so the fear is much more palpable and acute.

Plus the “ monster “ is almost supernatural, rather than physical and they got that wrong in the film.

Saw the trailer for this, and quite fancied the look of it, but it never did quite enough to get me to fork out £15 to see it at the cinema.

And about the same again for a bit of popcorn and a coke...

Nicholas Cage.. what on earth were you thinking... because THIS MOVIE KICKED ASS!
Seriously, when you have low expectations, a movie this original and well executed is a very welcome treat. Some may say the ending spoilt it a bit, but I don't mind that.

Fighting With My Family (2019)
I have to admit, this is not a great movie, but being a WWE former-fan, I kinda enjoyed it. Nothing that's gonna win an oscar, but it mixes some good performances, decent laughs, and touching moments into a watchable flick.
6/10.

A well made and hugely enjoyable film about a community's fight against the development plans that included the forced sale of their homes. It appealed to my innate distrust of the unholy alliance of corporate big finance and self-serving politicians...

Watched two very different films tonight -

Kajaki - edge of the seat stuff. The wife kept moaning about the gore but it was a great film
4 kids and it - usually enjoy a good family film but didn't think this was one. The older kids acting is absolutely dreadfully bad.

Currently on Netflix,its a really decent story until the last 10 minutes,as with most Netflix stuff it just doesnt quite get it right

Battle of the Bulge : definitely a film for our time. Henry Fonda excellent as usual, and Telly Savallas doing a fine Sergeant Bilko impersonation.
