Just seen The Lighthouse, amazing film. It's really weird and messed up, Defoe is incredible.
Dont expect a really intricate story, it's not that type of film, of you like black and white films like The Haunting and The Sputal Staircase its like that perhaps.
But, what I liked was the harsh environment its set in, the cinematography is great, also has some dark humor.

Watched Parasite a few days a go and thought it was amazing, so happy Joon-Ho is getting the recognition he deserves. Snowpiercer and The Host are fantastic, need to watch Okja next.
Watched Birds of Pray today and thought it was awful the fight scenes were decent and its better than suicide squad but apart from that its bad.

Ghost in the Shell 1995, was a huge influence on The Matrix, the animation is fantastic for its time.
Also watched Joker again, got the 4K Blu Ray version, brilliant picture quality, highly recommend to fans of the film.

Birds of Prey - WOW what a mess!
It's Suicide Squad levels without the bad CGI.
I just don't know what they had in mind for it especially when they have a great cast but they played the whole "Women don't need Men" card every 5 mins like the audience had memory issues.
The fight scenes are good plus Harvey Quinn/Margot Robbie and Black Mask/Ewan McGregor do well to keep it on track but honestly it's all over the place with time jumps when it's not needed, over the top direction and the main point a very weak plot which just stops being a plot.
Very disappointing after Aquaman and Shazam got DC on course hopefully WW85 will steady the ship.
