The final act saved this from being completely mediocre.

Very weak script, but I was invested enough to see it out and care about the protagonist.

Matt Smith does a great job of portraying Charles Manson in a film that investigates the effects he had on a group of women he inspired to murder. Wonder what happened to the blokes there? Maybe it was different for them too...

Irishman, really good but it drags on, could probably of done without the last half an hour after most of them die off. Pacino and Pesci brilliant but I thought de Niro was the weak link out of the cast

Love this film - just dug out the DVD today in preparation for its annual airing in our house. Funny how Bob Clark made two very different Christmas classics - the other being Black Christmas.

He did indeed. And that's a great surprise gift - I had to buy another copy last year as I couldn't find the first one I bought.

Only I didn't say fudge... is one of the standout scenes for me.

That's it - this is going on later, despite the missus wanting to watch The Holiday again...
