They tried to fill the gap with the Cartel leaders daughter - the American actress - Isabella Moner.Losing Blunt made a big difference, she was the connection between the audience and bewildering events occurring. I often wonder with these sequels how much of talent who stay involved do so purely through some contractual obligation. As you say the first one was superb, and it is a bit odd seeing a sequel made from that film, it certainly didn't have a franchise feel
As much as she was very good, she wasn`t central to the plot, like Blunt was.
The whole film just jumped all over the place.
I`m guessing the sequel was all about money, nothing else.
