Lost City of Z

I'm not sure as it started very slowly, built up to a good middle and then I fell asleep.

Not sure if he found the Lost City or he just went mad like they all do.

And Pattinson is deffo the highest profile worst actor of his generation. I've seen skidmarks with more magnetism.

Theres literally no ending...nothing happens.

It was also inaccurate.

It got the Hollywood treatment and some of the incidents were altered or simply made up. Which i never get on stories where still would come across really well without tampering with.

The whole toilet saga being one of the biggest. It was Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae) who had to go find the colored bathroom on the far side of campus. Johnson (Taraji P Henson) admitted in an interview that she used the whites only bathroom for years as she didn't know and when someone told her she ignored the complaint and it was left at that.

To me if they had used that instead it would have been better.
I had the same problem with this movie. It was like a LIfetime Original movie, and Hollywood beat you over the head cheesy. Certainly not Best Picture worthy.

Very, very overrated movie, which is sad b/c the story is an interesting and relevant one.

I'm in no way a cinema fan so only watch what comes on TV.
A few months back I recorded Jack Reacher, but only got to watch it the other night.
I normally give anything with Tom Cruise a wide berth and I recall when the film was released critics smarty pants remarks on how a relative squirt like Cruise could depict a 6ft 8in giant of a man.
I have read all the Lee Childs books on Reacher, and can confirm that the film was rubbish.
The only saving grace was Rosamund Pike. She's a right babe.

Downfall.
A quite harrowing account of the final weeks of Adolf Hitler.
Worth a full watch !!
German produced film, not a Hollywood 'the US won the war' misrepresentation of the real events

Tombstone

We had this on VHS back in the day and I watched it quite a few times as a young lad. It's a little loose with the facts regarding the Earps and events surrounding the Vendetta Ride but it still stands up as a great western. The only thing that bugs is the oddly paced and overly schmaltzy TV movie style romance.

Hail Caesar

Like the Coen Brothers so this was always going to appeal. Feels a bit light, fluffy and ridiculous compared to some of their past stuff but that's no bad thing when it's done as well as it is.

There Will Be Blood

Daniel Day Lewis masterclass. Or a massive ham? I'd say masterclass all through the film but the "milkshake" scene is not exactly understated. Loved the film though as a whole though and the score is brilliant.

Watched a cracker on the Horror Channel the other night :

Radius. ( rubbish title )

Low budget, but terrific acting, best described as a Scfi thriller.

A couple wake up from a car crash with no memory, but have developed a devastating power between them.

Some really slick twists in it and some uncomfortable stuff in it too.

One to watch out for.
Watched trailer...looks very good!
