Shape of Water. Strange and charming as all of Del Toro's work is. He still hasn't topped Devil's Backbone imo, but it will be interesting to see if a fantasy flick can crack the Oscars, I believe no fantasy or Sci Fi has won best film as yet.
Beautiful film, but deffo helps if your a fan of Del Torro.

There were a couple of old dears in the screening today that were a bit wigged out I reckon.

The last of the Lord of The Rings trilogy won best film.

Watched this on Film4 during the wk, simply called Room.
Heavily based on Joseph Fritzel, story of a young woman who is abducted, then kept against her will in a single room, for seven years, giving birth to a son.
Very slow, but beautifully acted, especially by the young lad.

Documentary about a Canadian rock band still trying to hit the big time despite 30 years of not doing so. Hit's virtually every Spinal Tap trope despite being a genuine real life documentary and is all the more heart warming for it. Brilliant stuff.
