Last Film You Watched

Took 4 kids to watch Last Jedi yesterday, was worried it would be like Rogue One....it was, but better.

Basically, another good Star-Wars film (the middle three do not count) BUT why does it have to be the same?? Basically, ALL 5 are the same, the biggest movies in history and they cannot think outside the box.

It Drives me mad.

I can safely say I am somewhere inbetween you two there! Not a bad movie. Decent enough watch, but nothing I would want to see again. A (low) 7/10 for me.

Rogue One is an excellent Star Wars film. The Last Jedi is a mediocre film and an awful Star Wars film.

Rogue One is an excellent Star Wars film. The Last Jedi is a mediocre film and an awful Star Wars film.

Disagree, Rogue one was just Star-wars with a girl as the lead. So many similarities it was a joke. Also, excessive use of the force, almost upto clone wars levels. Jedi can't even go to the toilet without "forcing" something out of the way. I was shaking my head at most if it, too obvious for me.

That said; up till now you couldn't get me anywhere near the Marvel or DC universes (except for lego batman)
Then I chanced upon Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2...I know its not Citizen Kane, but it had me from the first few minutes with the Mr Blue Sky scene

Last one I watched fully was iron man 2 it’s all gone down hill from there with them ridiculous camera angles

Weird, I sat through the whole of Rogue one in disappointment, watching last Jedi I was involved.

Either way... still basically star-wars 4 and 5.

My Daughters dragged me along to The Greatest Showman, got to say i really enjoyed it although the songs are stuck in my head!

Not something I thought I'd like, but really enjoyed it.

The Last Jedi is basically an inferior remake of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, while also trashing classic characters and introducing nonsensical ideas that don’t fit in the Star Wars universe. A truly dreadful film.
