Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

This is probably going to make me sound daft but can they legally fine somebody for asking to move jobs? Doesn't sound like something that would be allowed in any other job
think it's more the way he did it. a statement on social media basically calling the club lairs doesn't reflect well on Sunderland. Moyes is probably also trying to lay down the law early on

Fining the player only makes things worse from Sunderlands perspective. They are probably trying to force him to hand in a transfer request.

Sunderland are playing a blinder, he said he'll stay if they offer him a new contract, they say they will give him a new contract on the 1st September (transfer window closed) all the fans are made up, Kone thinks "Why can't they do it now, what's to stop them giving me a meagre pay rise in the new contract" (a lot less that what we offered him) Kone thinks "Jib this, I'm still handing a transfer request in" Sunderland come out and tell their fans that they offered him a new contract, but he's turned it down, Sunderland fans give loads of abuse to Kone big style, and the Sunderland board get away with any grief off their fans.

Hilarious that people are finding their moral compass over a player throwing a transfer request in over us signing another clubs captain and not making a peep.

...if the player seriously wants to leave it normally goes past a point of no turning back. I'm not sure if that is the case here but the power tends to lie with the player these days.
