Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

Before y'all throw stones (unless you're throwing them for 47.5M, then please throw away), check yourself and revisit your posts / thoughts when Lescott put his transfer request to go to City and Moyes was in the same spot - dithering away but clucking loudly about not selling.

Lescott was a Benedict Arnold because he wanted to move away from Everton and handed in a late transfer request.

What's the difference from Kone except Everton are on the other side of the table this time?

Besides, Moyes just brought in 2 defenders to cover Kone. I smell bluff. And we know Moyes will fold like a cheap suit in transfer dealings.

So we shouldn't take Kone because he put in a transfer request or we should? I'm confused

Moyes played a curveball in the sense than Kone now knows there is a contract waiting in September.

But now he needs to decide if

  1. Moyes keeps his word
  2. The offer matches his demands
  3. He's willing to wait and find out and be shown up (something Moyes has done in the past in separate situations. If so, interest in him may dwindle and he'll be left in a place where he handed I a request and got shat on.
It probably will end up dying out, but don't give this up... Yet.

To be fair to Moyes has played a blinder. He either waits and signs the deal and Moyes keeps him or he doesn't sign it which is probably what he wants to do and the blame is shifted onto him rather then the club for letting him go. You can't blame the club for doing it just like Sunderland can't blame us for going for him. It's not our concern he's been there 6 months. It's not relevant to us as we just care where he will be playing from now on. If they can replace him in time they'd be best to turn a profit in him and be rid. If we get him and he's that good he may do the same to us, that's football nowadays unfortunately

Moyes is up to his old tricks.

At Everton he infuriated City by shouting off his mouth the press about their bids. He would be furious about them unsettling our players and then blab all of the info to the press.

Sometimes the only reason it became public knowledge was because of Moyes's blabbings.

Now he is doing the same with us by revealing that he spoke to bill.

Or Jags will part exchange ?
Maybe.

He's probably on limited budget there and wants something for nothing. Loan deals and a couple in for £5M from United so far. I'm sure he's looking to bleed Everton for top dollar on Kone.

Leave him to it and walk away. He'll soon back down. It's a player he wont want.
