As you are entitled to but IMO they are weak in the air and weak at marking. Its the forward play that makes them stand out but that is not a defensive quality.

That's just not the case.
It's a complex process that involves a lot of things being lined up simultaneously - unless you can rock up drop £45m on the table and walk out (as only a handful of clubs can) then you need to treat a deal like a house purchase; the vendor will only sell with a replacement lined up and the buyer has to have the cash or confirmation of another sale to balance the books. There's a big chain involved.
