Don't believe Moyes one bit about Kone going nowhere didn't he say Lescott was going nowhere too ? Just want a good price for him now don't want to see him in a SAFC top again

Thinking back to the Lescott episode, then yes you could say Kone will still be sold this summer. But Moyes is very stubborn and it wouldn't surprise me if he made sure there was no sale to us. Time will tell I suppose. And surely we'll have a back up plan for deadline day.

David Moyes has no intention of selling Lamine Koné if he can possibly help it and believes it would be impossible to sign as good a central defensive replacement for the £21m Everton are prepared to pay.

“Koné will stay,” said Sunderland’s manager before suggesting that, although he had vetoed Everton’s bid, it had not been turned down outright by his board.

“The offer’s been rejected by me, yes. I’ve had that offer for a while now and I could have invested the money two weeks ago but doing that is very difficult. Given the prices, it would be very difficult to replace Lamine. Unless we could get a suitable replacement, I would never do the deal.”

This will happen, Moyes is just showing the players who's boss etc, you think Ellis Short is going to turn down 18 mill and 13 mill profit in 6 months in a player who doesn't want to play for you, so Davey can scare the U21s?

Welcome Lamine

Not sure at all on this. Genuine 50/50.

Player wants to go.

Moyes pedalling his usual crap about 'could have had the money weeks ago but wouldn't have time to spend it'

Get used to stuff like this @Albertini78 !

Maybe it wasn't just Bill ey?
