Let's face it, according to moyes they are in a relegation scrap already. Kone (although a talented player) doesn't sound the type of player who would be up for the fight. Everyone at Sunderland needs to be fully committed to the cause, Kone doesn't strike me as that type. I guess if he comes back to the club with the same attitude this week, he will be sold.

Also he'll be worth the same, if not more, next summer. And he could be the difference between Sunderland staying up or bring relegated.

Sunderland have wasted money for years through backing variious managers and now no longer have the budget to compete with the likes of Watford and Palace - rivals for lower mid table so where does it leave him. Its going to be a long and slow building process for any manager, personally hope he does ok as I like Sunderland and their fans are generally good.

If Kone wasn't up for the fight he wouldn't have joined them in the first place.

He's just been offered more money, a chance to play for Koeman and wants out now.
