Lack of a striker isn’t our problem.

I think it's a bit hard to judge the ability of our attack when we don't play the right folks. If we came out with Vlasic/Siggy/Lookman and Rooney or Oumar in front of them, or even friggin Sandro, for a couple games and generated nothing, then okay. I'm sure if healthy, Bolaisse/Siggy/Barkley would be a pretty decent group as well.

That being said, we don't have a target type player that could hold the ball up. I can't argue with that. DCL isn't it, yet, and it would be good to have that type of options against certain teams - Giroud, Slimani, Dost, Jose, etc.

However, we DEFINITELY know we need a CB and likely a LB. We've tried everyone back there and no one can do the job. No one. Jags got abused against Watford and we've seen how bad Williams looks. Unless we seriously want to give Besic a chance - god help us - I think we are out of options.

Honestly, add a tall CB that's good in the air and a target guy who is also good in the air...man, that would make our free kicks considerably more dangerous. Siggy can still serve a ball from a set piece. We'd get a handful of goals alone from set pieces.
Isn't that kind of Keane though? Maybe we could add someone to cover a lot of ground so we could step up a few extra yards to press too.

Lols, we obviously stumbled on a tactical innovation, I wonder why every other team in world football hasn’t followed our lead and decided that strikers are just unnecessary.

Just thinking about this as well, Bolassie is meant to whip in crosses. Sigurdsson is meant to put in dead balls. Who the heck do we even have as an option to get on the end of those?

Only Everton could spend 140m in the summer and need to, almost completely, overhaul their team again.

It is a problem, but its not the main problem.
What I found utterly baffling was Watford's first goal on Sunday. We kicked off the second half and within 35 seconds our defence was out of position and huge gaps were left wide open. How that can happen so quickly is just strange. Thats the main issue.

The problem, is too many to mention.

It's not even just the lack of a striker anymore.

The whole team, is like "the Lord of the flies".

Crap

Apparently...

The problem at Everton isn’t the lack of a big name striker - Royal Blue Mersey

I’m not sure I agree with this completely but it’s still an interesting read.

DCL and Niasse are currently out performing Real Madrid’s attack according to this.

Lies lies and statistics- you can manipulate statistics to paint any picture you need to.
We don't need not one forward we need two.

This.

And couple it with the boards refusal to free up money to buy a striker until players were sold / Moonheads blind pursuit of Giroud.
