Labour has full 500,000 members now, and it's still growing, that 500,000 does not include affiliated membership through unions if you include them it's near million people. Labour under Corbyn is far more representative party than any other of its leaders or PMs since the 1950s and certainly most representative of all the political parties. Corbyn is going nowhere from Labour leadership but is nearing the end as opposition leader.

I would like to retract my 500.000, it's actually 540.000, with 10000 new members in August alone some media reports.

It's not anti-Semitic to say Israel is being beastly to the Palestinian folk.

Load of nonsense. Labour should be laying into the Tories about housing, health and Brexit.

But it’s much easier to have a go at Israel than make sensible proposals for housing, health and Brexit.......

Conversely its a lot easier to have a pop at someone because they are "anti-Israel", rather than anything like their policies on housing, health or Brexit.

It's why Corbyn goes on walk about in the UK to talk to people, the majority of the media and Labour opponents don't want to hear about labour policy. Despite being overwhelmingly popular with the electorate.

Mcdonnell will again this weekend go on the road, with investment bank proposal etc (just don't tell Germans their investment bank is communism ideology they will wonder WTF the last 70 years has been about). Just like last time we will have to wait for election purdah period to bring sensibilities back into politics.

And of course Labour under Corbyn are now in a much better position and once one member one vote is put into place, then all sitting labour MPs will be democratically veted on continuing basis the internal desent goes away.

What policies would they be then.......

Housing
  • Commitment to building at least 100,000 council and housing association homes a year for genuinely affordable rent or sale.
  • The creation of a Department for Housing, which will see a minister inplace whose job is to work with communities to empower them to build the homes they need.
  • Mass investment in insulation, helping people manage the cost of energy bills, prevent winter deaths, and meet climate change targets.
  • Three year tenancies, with an inflation cap on rent rises.
  • Greater rights for renters through a statutory "fit for human habitat" rights.

Health
  • A guarantee that patients will be seen in A&E within four hours.
  • An end to mixed-sex wards.
  • Full implementation of the Cancer Strategy for England within 3 years.
  • Free NHS parking for patients, staff and vistors in England.
  • £30bn extra in funding raised by increasing tax on private medical insurance.

Brexit
  • Accepting the result of the referendum.
  • Build a close relationship with the EU that will ensure workers' rights and environmental standards.
  • Provide certainty to EU nationals on their long term right of stay.
  • Dropping the Tories' Great Repeal Bill, and replace it with a EU rights and protections bill.
  • An end to Freedom of Movement.

It's easier to shout 'anti-semite' than defend your countries appalling human rights record.

It's an extremely dangerous game that some are playing.

I listened to LBC the other day and James O'Brien had some caller that said something along the lines of "Jeremy Corbyn doesn't see Jewish people as the underdogs, so he opposes Jewry on that basis" to which O'Brien just said "yeah, that's right".

I mean, come on people.

What the government seem to be hoping for is a quasi-Norway agreement, but with Single Market comes Schengen, payments into the EU budget and no voting rights or veto.
