It's not a reference to someone's religion they made...they stated that Berger was "a Jewish MP". As said: there are no members of parliament there to represent a religion...not that I'm aware of.

If they had said an Israeli MP, then fair enough, but if they’d said a Muslim MP or a Protestant MP or a Jewish MP then I fail to see the problem.....

Who on earth calls someone a "Protestant MP"?!
By the same token it's patently ridiculous, offensive and a little bit sinister to claim somene as a "Jewish MP". Because it suggests they serve not the British people but some other interest.

I agree that it is sinister to call someone a Jewish MP, but who was it that did so. Did the MP refer to themselves as a Jewish MP as a way of suggesting a break from the U.K. or did it happen due to a previous reference to religion or race, or was it a third party who did so. Of course there should be no qualification of an MP, but I would ask who initiated it.....

I also dislike members of the community who are burglars, thieves, law breakers in general, rip off merchants, violent thugs and those that don’t behave or cause misery for others of any religion, creed, colour or nationality. I also dislike inconsiderate car and lorry drivers, inconsiderate cyclists and people who just step out into the road. However, none of this is racist. So I’ll just let @Moomin reflect on this and his attempt at justification of dog whistle comments......
