i honestly think he'll go to spurs if they do come in for him, better wages and capital city n all that. football doesn't matter to footballers anymore.

You're partly right, many of them are more interested in the good life than the game (Lucas Neill). Others aren't though (Cahill, and even Beckham funding his AC Milan stint).

But in a way it's a good test of character. If Spurs do offer him more cash and he chooses to join Everton instead, that tells su something. If he chooses Spurs over us, that tells us all we needed to know and if that's the way it shakes out, then we'd perhaps be better off knowing his priorities up front.

Good point mate.

Still not signed then, im confident on this one - you would be mad to sign for Spurs over Everton given our record of turning Championship players into established Prem and international players. You can forget about what Sheff Utd may or not be doing at the end of the day it will come down to the player.

You know it makes sense Kyle.
This. He'll join the Moyes revolution at Everton.

From what I have heard today through someone at finch farm (quite reliable) the deal will still go ahead. As for the choice between Everton and Tottenham, its a no brainer. Look at Jagielka who has gone on to become one of the best defenders in the league, and look at Gareth Bale who was rated as one of the best youngsters in the country and has now become one of the worst left backs in the league.

I think we are being a little blind here. We are all saying that Moyes will turn him into a star, but not all great prospects that come to us bloom out to stars.

McFadden
Kissock
Vidarson
Ruddy

comes to mind as players that have come here and not really progressed that much.

But Moyes do have a fairly large number of players blooming out.

Yeh nice one, McFadden got sold for 6 million, Ruddy is still at the club and Vidarsson was brought for peanuts.

Kissock came through the academy.

.

Didn't Kissock come throught the youth system? he can't really count as someone DM has brought to the club Get the point though but proportionately DM has a lot of success with youth. Looking back when he first came to the club it's something that surprised me as he always fielded very experienced sides for the first couple of years here and even Rooney struggled to get a full game under Moyes but under Ferguson was played a lot more
