The heavens have absolutely opened here.....wetter than this forum here!!!

Reflecting on the game, we wasn't good enough. Gana looked uncomfortable so far forward at times, Schneiderlin is way way off the pace, Klassen needs a better understanding of those around him he was headless at times. DCL never received anything to really work with and didn't look able to create anything out of what got anywhere near him. Cuco was unlucky with his header, played decent passes along the deck but like pretty much everyone else not a lot to ponder or get excited about. That said, Rooney and Sandro, these two will do big things this season

Just seen that they got to the quarter final of the Europa League last season, narrowly missing out on a semi final spot. So they aren't exactly a pub team and their season starts next week.

Koeman may still want to sign another CM.

Aye mate already realised that, they got knocked out by Genk though i think, unless i'm mistaken AGAIN ;o

Yep Genk won 2-5 in the first leg. Was a brilliant match.

Gent also beat Valencia, Zenith and Lyon the year before in the CL so they tend to cause upsets from time to time.

I just checked and Genk are one week ahead of us in pre season.

They ran rings around us fitness wise. Off the ball they were very good and closed every one down.
in as much as I've derided our performance, in fairness I do think they were well organised, up for it and they have a couple of good players there too.
