Tough time for him and no mistake. Tough time for fans too.

One of the most unbalanced Everton sides I’ve seen yet he persists with a similar strategy every time. Weird how the outcome is similar.

He had a time like this Nov/Dec last year until he hit on a formula around Christmas that kicked us on in some style. But one year and £170m later you’d hope this wouldn’t happen again.

I wouldn’t get rid of him now myself as it wouldn’t likely benefit Everton. Plus firing and hiring managers for poor runs of form usually ruins clubs unless they’ve ridiculous resources and prestige. The pick of next manager is always better in the summer as the best managers are taken. I don’t think giving a first team manager job to Unsworth is the answer now either.

Will be mighty interesting to see around Christmas time if this malaise continues what will happen.
sure will. I've been less than impressed with Koeman for nearly a year now, I was giving Davek likes for all sorts of Koeman related stuff, not his other wham and wum obvs, but naysaying the Ronster, yeah.

When you go back and look at some of the others on the list that De Boer came 2nd on, you now have Ancellotti, Tuchal and Unsworth. That would've been a better hindsighted selection Trifecta than; some no mark and 2 dutch guilders.

Would Barkley stay, if he went?

Would the Rooney experiment be ended, if he went?

Would two holding midfielders NOT start every game, if he went?

Would the three number 10's being on the pitch at the same time end, if he went?

Would we have an identity/style, if he went?

A yes to any of them is justification to end him for me.

It's almost hipster to stand by failing managers, we did it with Martinez (look how that ended)

There are two managers out there who we usually couldn't attract and/or afford, they also come compo free.

This form isn't new, think of those awful performances away at West Ham, Swansea and Arsenal and the home performances Vs Chelsea and Watford.

I can just about take not winning if we're playing well, but this is garbage on both counts. Hopeless.

I agree with all of this, but the bit in bold is the stand out reason why he has to go.

Belgium, although they lost to Spain in his first game have been unbeaten since in the 9 games they have played and scored 37 goals conceding 6, that includes beating Cyprus 3-0 away from home, Cypriots are, though, easy to beat.

We've scored 14 goals in 13 games (including playing 7 pretty average to poor teams)
Always said Martinez was an international manager but never a club one. Wouldn't be surprised if he went on to win a trophy but his biggest weakness which he doesn't have to worry about is the players fitness. He doesn't have a clue how to manage it.

It's totally on Koeman's head is this, he's been backed with serious funds, more funds than any other manager in our history, we have a set of players he should be getting a lot better football out of, it's his tactics and the absent balance in the side through his choices of who starts that are the problem.

Give him till Christmas at least
Coleman and Bolassie back will be a major boost.
Vlasic is settling and is in contention for a starting place.
However as has been pointed out we lack pace ( which we have but don't use ) and too many square pegs in round holes.
We have the players for a good first 11 but Koeman won't play them
Lessons from last Sat were not learned.
Holgate can't play in a back 2 , and judging on last night either can Williams.
Keane was badly missed.
DCL needs to be played in a front 2
2 DCM doesn't work now we have lost Lukaku
Surely Koeman can see all this but why he doesn't act upon it is beyond me

Pickford
Coleman. Keane Jags. Baines

Schnederlin

Vlasic. Siggy. Bolassie

DCL. Rooney /Sandro

That line up gives us pace and stability when all players are fit.
New CF and CB to go straight into starting 11 are essential in January.

Koeman out would mean this season is wasted and all the money is wasted - the new manager would not use the same players , would likely not ‘fancy’ some of the younger ones for no particular reason and we risk careers of people like Davies and DCL and Kenny - be very careful what you wish for - it’s easier for the management to push Koeman towards a certain approach rather than sacking him

It would have to be a yes to 3/4 if those questions and I don’t think we can expect that - so why risk the entire season ?

Bad idea to sack him

We persisted in bad times with Moyes and Roberto so we have to try one more season
